About us
Joona came to life from our need to organize and keep track of our health history in the digital age. Joona is a product developed by 2mrk technologies GmbH, founded in April 2024 in Hamburg, Germany.
The two founders, Mariana Ramírez de Arellano and Maximiliane Mangin come from different backgrounds to create the best possible product. Mariana has a background in starting and scaling companies and Maximiliane has experience in developing mobile applications in the banking and health industries.
Both have moved cities and countries more often than most, experiencing changes in medical systems and insurance schemes without being able to keep their health data centralized. Now, with children, they have extra information to keep track of in the form of physical documents. As more and more papers arrived via post, it became clear to them that a safe, centralized and digital space like Joona was necessary.
Joona is fully designed and developed in Europe by a fantastic and highly skilled team from around the continent. Everyone who is involved in developing Joona believes in its mission. We are all proud to stand behind Joona and we look forward to partnering with you in your health journey.

Joona is designed for you and serves multiple purposes.
You are able to keep a record of your health status and history including:
- vaccination pass
- medication intakes and reminders,
- upload and storage of health documents (like an MRI scan etc.)
- mother pass / pregnancy
- more features to launch in the future.

Our commitment is to keep your data safe, allow the creation and managing of profiles for underage children, and provide viewer access for other profiles that are specifically shared with you for emergency purposes.
In addition, we use your data only if you allow us to in order to optimize Joona. Go to the settings section in your Joona account to help us create the best experience for you and your family.

Unlike free apps, our subscription service helps protect you and your data. We offer a wide range of features where you own your data. We will never sell your data – though you will have the option to help us further certain research topics. Check our Joona Privacy Commitment page for more info.

We offer two subscription options: Premium and Multi. For each you can choose to either pay monthly or annually. Click here to find the right subscription option for you.
